The girlfriend of a man who is believed to have been killed for his iPhone today wept as she told how their baby daughter had been robbed of an 'adoring' father.

She said she could not understand why anyone would want to kill him.

'Keith was a lovely man, he was a funny man. Even when he smiled, even his smile would make you laugh,' Miss Ramsey said.

'He was not violent, he was not nasty. I actually can't understand why anybody would do something like this to Keith at all.

'If you know anything please come forward or tell somebody, somebody that could tell the police for you.'

Miss Ramsey was speaking at a Gloucestershire Police press conference to appeal for information over the murder of her partner.

Mr Soons was stabbed in the head in Cheltenham with what detectives believe was a screwdriver-type weapon.

The 36-year-old, from Gloucester, was found in Wellington Lane by a member of the public at around 8am on February 5. He died later that day in hospital.

Man, 26, arrested over the murder of pregnant teenager found knifed to death two weeks before her baby was due

Police today revealed that men, aged 26 and 28 from Cheltenham, had been arrested last night on suspicion of murder.

A third man aged 27 and also from Cheltenham was arrested this morning on suspicion of murder.

Speaking at the press conference, Miss Ramsey said the person responsible for Mr Soons' death had robbed their daughter of a father.

'He was a good man and the person that has done this has taken a father away from my daughter,' she said.

'She's going to miss out. She's not ever known how much of a great man he was. Never be able to see him for his birthdays or any special occasions. His family miss him so much.

'Whoever's killed Keith must be brought to justice. If you know anything or have heard anything, please tell t'Nothing will bring Keith back but the person that has done this must face the consequences.'

Mr Soons, who grew up in Cirencester, also leaves behind his grieving parents, two brothers and a sister.

After leaving school, Mr Soons worked at several places in the town, including the local council, a video shop and also ran the Wheatsheaf pub.

He moved to Cheltenham in 2005 and started working for fashion chain SuperDry, where he worked until his death.

Mr Soons' job took him around the world but he came back to Cheltenham in 2008 shortly before meeting Miss Ramsey.

They moved to Gloucester in April 2009 in time for Tilly's birth in May.

Miss Ramsey said: 'Keith was a fantastic dad, he adored Tilly. He had a picture of her on his phone, not just as the screen saver but as soon as you switch it on, before you put in any passwords her little face would be there.

Missing: As well as Mr Soon's iPhone and bank cards, his distinctive silver 'DAD' ring was also missing from his body

'It is just devastating to think he won't see her first birthday or see her take her first steps, it is heartbreaking.'

She said Mr Soons was very popular and had a wide circle of friends.

'Lots of people knew Keith or knew of him through friends, he was very popular,' she said.

'He had a few mates that were really close and those were the ones he would spend his time with.

'He was the joker of the group, if Keith was around everyone would be laughing.'

Detectives today released CCTV footage of Mr Soons on the night he was attacked.

The images show him at around 2am on February 5 walking in Portland Road, Cheltenham.

Detective Superintendent Simon Atkinson, who is leading the murder investigation, said: 'There are two people in this footage walking behind Keith who we would really like to talk to.

'We have no reason to believe they have anything to do with Keith's death but we need to speak to them as they may have vital information about what happened.'

The first man is wearing dark trousers and a light-coloured grey hooded top with the hood up.

Plea for information: Detective Superintendent Simon Atkinson, who is leading the investigation, said that police would like to speak to two people spotted on CCTV walking behind Keith shortly before his death

The second man is broader. He was wearing a dark waist-length leather jacket and dark trousers.

Under the jacket he appears to be wearing a horizontal thick striped shirt. Both are eating from fast food containers.

Preliminary post-mortem examination results show that Mr Soons is likely to have died from a penetrative puncture wound to the side of his head.

Detectives believe this may have been caused by a screwdriver-type weapon as he attempted to get his iPhone 4 back.

Mr Soons' distinctive silver-coloured 'DAD' ring, which he was given by Miss Ramsey, was also missing, along with his Lloyds TSB debit card that was inside his leather iPhone 4 Griffin Elan passport wallet.

Mr Atkinson added: 'I want to thank the people that have called so far but we still need help with this inquiry.

'Someone knows who has done this. Someone out there is acting differently or has even spoken about that night. You have to tell us about it.

'Keith's iPhone 4, a Lloyds TSB bank card and a silver coloured ring with 'DAD' on it are all still missing.

'I am still keen to find this property so if you have been offered it or have just heard about someone who is trying to sell

penyamun tarbus merampok i-phone-
Commuters were warned today to be on alert for robbers who are targeting people carrying iPhones on trains in London.

Detectives have released CCTV images of two robbery suspects after a series of phone snatches on trains and at stations.

A surge in robberies in the capital has been partly driven by the popularity of expensive gadgets such as iPhones, BlackBerries and iPads.

Experts say smart phones, particularly iPhones, are popular among muggers because they can easily be sold abroad for hundreds of pounds.

Street robberies in London rose by more than eight per cent last year, and the number of times mobiles were stolen in muggings increased by 22 per cent.

The British Transport Police Robbery Squad is warning passengers to remain vigilant after phone snatches in south London.

Detectives have confirmed that the same two suspects have struck at least six times though they suspect they may have carried out more attacks.

Each time, the robbers use the same tactic of scouting for victims on trains or station platforms. If they spot someone on an iPhone they walk up and snatch it, using force if challenged.

Police say they are investigating robberies at Catford Bridge, West Dulwich, Mitcham Eastfields and Balham between Saturday January 1 and Thursday February 10.

Detective Constable Gary Bellinger said: "We believe the men pictured in the CCTV images have snatched phones from passengers on trains across south London on at least six occasions, and we are investigating whether they've been involved in any further incidents.

"Typically they walk through trains scouting for potential targets, namely passengers talking on their phones because they are more likely to be distracted.

"After singling out their victim they snatch the phone, using violence if they are met with any resistance, before making a quick escape while the train has stopped.

"We've made enquiries and followed up on a number of leads to try and get names for these men, but to no avail so far."

Police are urging people to take simple precautions such as being aware of people around you when using phones in public.

Detective Chief Inspector Martin Ford of the National Mobile Phone Crime Unit urged people to use the security features on smart phones.

He said: "Many smart phones have very high levels of security and people should be aware of this and use it to protect their phones and the information and data they carry on their phones these days."

Dulu dulu kerja melibatkan banyak aktiviti.

Pakaian semua siap tersedia.
Kalau cerita skandal mula bocor, saman aja..

Sebahagian dari petikan akhbar evening standard online: 'The whole story should be out there': Peer defends revealing Sir Fred super-injunction

:The peer who helped reveal details of Sir Fred Goodwin's super-injunction today defended the move.:

Lib Dem Lord Oakeshott, who tabled yesterday's topical question in the House of Lords, said it was necessary to know what was going on at the top of Royal Bank of Scotland in the run-up to and during its collapse.

Sir Fred, nicknamed Fred the Shred, was accused of having an extra-marital affair at the time RBS imploded and needed rescuing by taxpayers.

His super-injunction was originally revealed by Lib Dem MP John Hemming in March, when it emerged the gagging order obtained by Sir Fred was so strict it banned references to him as a banker.

The order was partially lifted by the High Court yesterday after Lib Dem peer Lord Stoneham, speaking for Lord Oakeshott, used parliamentary privilege to name Sir Fred in relation to the alleged affair in the Lords.

"Every taxpayer has a direct public interest in the events leading up to the collapse of the Royal Bank of Scotland, so how can it be right for a super-injunction to hide the alleged relationship between Sir Fred Goodwin and a senior colleague?" he said.

Lord Oakeshott today told BBC Radio 4's Today programme: "I'm very concerned the whole story should be out there, should be properly investigated and we should all learn the lessons of the collapse.

"This was the biggest corporate crash in British history."

He said he would not consider revealing details of other super-injunctions, such as those banning reports of footballers' and actors' alleged affairs.

He said: "I couldn't care less if footballers are playing away. This is quite different, this is not the question of footballers' sex lives - I'm not interested in that. This is a major, overwhelming public interest."

He branded secrecy around the former RBS chief executive "stupid", saying the alleged affair may be crucial to a Financial Services Authority probe into RBS' collapse.

Lord Oakeshott added: "I wanted to make sure the regulator could look at this.

"If this is not overwhelming public interest to get to the bottom of what happened when the Royal Bank of Scotland collapsed causing billions (of pounds) of cost to taxpayer and many thousands of families lost their jobs - I can't conceive of a more of a more overwhelming public interest."

:Secrecy: ex-RBS boss Sir Fred Goodwin took out superinjunctionSir Fred: Gagging order 'to hide affair' lifted by High Court Judge:

Nicholas Cecil, Chief Political Correspondent

19 May 2011

An order granting anonymity to former bank boss Sir Fred Goodwin was lifted at the High Court today.

Sir Fred, former head of the Royal Bank of Scotland, had won an injunction preventing publication of details of a "sexual relationship".

But Mr Justice Tugendhat, sitting in London, varied the injunction to allow publication of Sir Fred's name, but not details of the alleged relationship and the name of the woman said to be involved.

He did not oppose the move for his identity to be revealed, which came after the injunction was referred to in the House of Lords earlier today.

Earlier today, a peer used parliamentary privilege to rip apart the cloak of secrecy surrounding the former Royal Bank of Scotland chief executive.

In a dramatic intervention, Lord Stoneham breached the super-injunction by telling the House of Lords: "Every taxpayer has a direct public interest in the events leading up to the collapse of the Royal Bank of Scotland, so how can it be right for a super-injunction to hide the alleged relationship between Sir Fred Goodwin and a senior colleague?

"If true, it would be a serious breach of corporate governance and not even the Financial Services Authority would be allowed to know about it."

Justice minister Lord McNally replied: "I do not

think it is proper for me, from this

despatch box, to comment on individual cases some of which are before the courts."

The move to reveal more alleged details of Sir Fred's injunction is a direct challenge to the courts, which are locked in a battle with Parliament over Britain's privacy laws.

Lord Stoneham said he was acting on behalf of another peer, Liberal Democrat Lord Oakeshott, who has also raised questions in Parliament about the legal protection offered to Sir Fred, 52.

The allegations in the Lords came just 24 hours before the Master of the Rolls, Lord Neuberger, publishes the findings of an inquiry into the use of super-injunctions. They may be seen as a pre-emptive move to challenge any attempt by senior judges to reinforce the use of super-injunctions.

The orders ban the media from disclosing that a gagging order has been granted. Lib-Dem MP John Hemming used parliamentary privilege in March to reveal that Sir Fred, chief executive of the RBS before it was nationalised, had taken out a super-injunction. Today is the first time its details have been revealed.

Sir Fred became a hate figure after the financial crisis which led to Britain's recession. He quit as RBS chief executive in October 2008, with an annual pension of £703,000, later reduced to £342,500. The Royal Bank of Scotland was bailed out by the taxpayer, which now owns more than 80 per cent of it.

The bank's code of conduct says employees must inform management about any relationships which pose a potential conflict of interest. Lord Oakeshott said, outside the Chamber and without parliamentary privilege: "I'm not interested in footballers' sex lives, but Royal Bank of Scotland was the biggest collapse in corporate history.

"It cost taxpayers billions and thousands of people their businesses and their jobs. You could not conceive of something more in the public interest to know the full facts leading to that collapse." David Cameron said last month he was "a little uneasy".

"What's happening here is that the judges are using the European convention on human rights to deliver a sort of privacy law without parliament saying so," he said. "We do need to have a proper sit back and think: is this right, is this the right thing to happen?"

MPs have said super-injunctions allowed rich men to hide their infidelities. BBC presenter Andrew Marr was last month accused of hypocrisy after he admitted that he obtained a super-injunction to gag the press to hide an adulterous affair.

Former Big Brother contestant Imogen Thomas, 28, is banned from revealing the name of a Premier League footballer who has a gagging order to stop coverage of their alleged affair. The super-injunction culture, which allows several top footballers to conceal alleged affairs, has been shaken by the naming on Twitter of some who are allegedly involved.
Jemima Khan was incorrectly linked to Jeremy Clarkson. She said it was a "nightmare" as the false rumours spread around the world.

Hebat bukan, ada duit senang saja nak jaga nama. tutup aja skandal ...semua kerana imej dan status dan nama..supaya anak bini tak tahu sapa mereka sebenarnya.

How to keep $10 lost in translation.

A Mafia godfather finds out that his bookkeeper has cheated him out of ten million bucks.

His bookkeeper is deaf.

That was the reason he got the job in the first place. It was assumed that a deaf bookkeeper would not hear anything that he might have to testify about in court.

When the godfather goes to confront the bookkeeper about his missing $10 million, he brings along his attorney, who knows sign language.

The godfather tells the lawyer, “Ask him where the 10 million bucks he embezzled from me is.”

The attorney, using sign language, asks the bookkeeper where the money is.

The bookkeeper signs back, “I don’t know what you are talking about.”

The attorney tells the godfather, “He says he doesn’t know what you’re talking about.”

The godfather pulls out a pistol, puts it to the bookkeeper’s temple, and says, “Ask him again!”

The attorney signs to the bookkeeper, “He’ll kill you if you don’t tell him!”

The bookkeeper signs back, “OK! You win! The money is in a brown briefcase, buried behind the shed in my cousin Enzo’s backyard in Queens!”

The godfather asks the attorney, “Well, what’d he say?”

The attorney replies, “He says you don’t have the guts to pull the trigger.”

Jika dilihat disurat beranak selalunya ianya berbentuk alias@ iaitu ditambah kemudian...
Contohnya Sal1m Group.. nama sebenar nya lain. Tengok saja nama anak pemimpin itu sendiri.. tomi hut0mo mandala..
Gamaknya satu msia pakai nama ahmad johnwong, mahu bulan puasa pejabat igama susah nak kejar 10 org nama ahmadjohwong. Tidak pun mamat  yang nama Ali £$%^, siapa sangka  bila tunjuk ic/passport.. la sana mari.. ..

Sebaiknya setiap bangsa mengekal kan nama mereka mengikut keturunan mereka..

camtu sekali..

::Origins of English Last Names::

English surnames as we know them today -- family names passed down intact from father to son to grandson -- began in England as early as the eleventh century. Such hereditary names were not universally prevalent and settled, however, prior to the era of the Reformation in sixteenth century England. It is conjectured that the introduction of parish registers in 1538 was a great influence in this, as a person entered under one surname at baptism would not be likely to be married under another name, and buried under a third. Some areas of England came later to the use of surnames, however. It was not until the late seventeenth century that many families in Yorkshire and Halifax took permanent surnames.
::Surnames in England generally developed from four major sources:

Patronymic & Matronymic Surnames - These are surnames derived from baptismal or Christian names to indicate family relationship or descent. Some baptismal or given names have become surnames without any change in form. Others added an ending. son may have formed his surname by adding -s (more common in the South and West of England) or -son (preferred in the northern half of England) to his father's name. The latter -son suffix was also sometimes added to the mother's name. English surnames ending in -ing (from the British engi, "to bring forth," and -kin generally indicate a patronymic or family name as well.

Occupational Surnames - Many English surnames developed from a person's job or trade. Three common English surnames -- Smith, Wright and Taylor -- are excellent examples of this. A name ending in -man or -er usually implies such a trade name, as in Chapman (shopkeeper), Barker (tanner) and Fiddler. On occasion a rare occupational name can provide a clue to the family's origin. For example, Dymond (dairymen) are commonly from Devon and Arkwright (maker of arks or chests) are generally from Lancashire.

Descriptive Surnames - Based on a unique quality or physical feature of the individual, these surnames often developed from nicknames or pet names. Most refer to an individual's appearance - color, complexion, or physical shape - such as Armstrong. A descriptive surname may also refer to an individual's personal or moral characteristics, such as Goodchild, Puttock (greedy) or Wise.

Geographical or Local Surnames - These are names derived from the location of the homestead from which the first bearer and his family lived, and are generally the most common origin of English surnames. They were first introduced into England by the Normans, many of whom were known by the name of their personal estate. Thus, many English surnames derive from the name of an actual town, county, or estate. County names in Great Britain, such as Cheshire, Kent and Devon have been commonly adopted as surnames. A second class of local surnames derived from cities and towns, such as Hertford, Carlisle and Oxford. Other local surnames derive from descriptive landscape features such as hills, woods, and streams which describe the original bearer's residence. This is the origin of surnames such as Sykes (marshy stream)

katanya

Maka jgn tunggu hari ibu nak beri ibu/isteri hadiah. Patutnya ia menjadi satu surprise atau bak kata orgputih romantic gesture from husband to treat or give surprises present etc(bukan surprises yang negative spt- main kyu 3, sebok tambah bini, affair sana sini etc).

Anyway dibawah saya ambil petikan di internet mengenai sejarah sambutan mother's day ini buat rujukan semua...How was Mother’s Day Created?  article was taken with thanks- written by Heleigh Bostwick

Heleigh Bostwick - May 2011

Contrary to popular belief, Mother’s Day, the third largest card-sending holiday in the US, is not a holiday that was created by the greeting card industry, but has its origins in ancient Greece where it was celebrated each spring in honor of Rhea, the Mother of the Gods.

Honoring Mary on Mothering Sunday

In 17th century England, the celebration took on a religious significance, becoming a day that early Christians set aside to honor Mary, the mother of Christ. Eventually all mothers were included and the day became known as Mothering Sunday, because it was a day that celebrated both mothers and the church. In the UK, Mothering Sunday is celebrated on the 4th Sunday after lent.

Julia Ward Howe and the Mother’s Day of Peace

In America however, Mothering Sunday was all but forgotten by the English colonists when they arrived here in the early 1600s. It wasn’t until the mid-19th century that the idea was briefly resurrected by Julia Ward Howe, an abolitionist and social activist best known for penning the words to the “Battle Hymn of the Republic.”

In 1870, Howe declared the first modern “Mother’s Day,” composing what is widely believed to be the original Mothers’ Day proclamation in the US.

Howe was also a pacifist as well as an active participant in the women’s suffrage movement and two years later, combining her passions for both peace and motherhood, Howe declared June 2 a “Mother’s Day for Peace." She envisioned the day being celebrated every year on that same date, which it was for the next 10 years. But unlike today’s Mother’s Day celebrations, which typically honor the contributions of mothers to their families and communities, Howe saw it as a day for women to unite against war.

Anna Jarvis and the Modern Mother’s Day

The Mother’s Day holiday as we know it today is actually credited to a woman named Anna Jarvis. Jarvis was the daughter of Ann Marie Reeves Jarvis, an Appalachian homemaker who was an inspiration to Howe because of her work in improving relationships between neighbors in the north and south after the Civil War.

Although she was educated at Female Seminary in Wheeling, WV and taught for a while at a school, Jarvis returned home to care for her sick mother. After her mother’s death in 1905 Anna Jarvis dedicated her life to creating a day that honored mothers—living and dead.

She took up a letter writing campaign and brought her idea up to everyone she could. Eventually a local church, Andrews Methodist Church in Grafton, WV, where Jarvis had taught Sunday school classes for 20 years, took notice and is credited with the first Mother’s Day observance.

President Wilson Officially Proclaims Mother’s Day
Anna Jarvis’ persistence paid off and in 1914 President Woodrow Wilson officially proclaimed Mother’s Day an official holiday in honor of motherhood and is celebrated in the US on the second Sunday in May.

Ironically however, Jarvis was a spinster who had no children of her own.

And for the record, Hallmark did not begin making cards for the holiday in the 1920s.

What You Probably Don't Know About Mother's Day

Posted Tuesday, May 5, 2009 by Allen B. Ury

Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 10. No doubt most of you are planning to buy your mother flowers, take her out to brunch, buy her some jewelry or, at the very least, send her a greeting card and/or give her a phone call. As you (and millions of others) celebrate this holiday, here are some facts about Mother’s Day history and practices to keep in mind:

There are currently some 82.5 million mothers in the United States.

Mother’s Day was created by Anna Jarvis (1864-1948), the daughter of 19th Century social activist Ann Maria Reeves Jarvis. Anna’s mother died in 1905, and two years later she launched a campaign to create a holiday on the second Sunday in May to honor her, as well as all mothers throughout America for the contributions they make to their families and communities.

Mother’s Day became an official holiday in 1914 via proclamation by President Woodrow Wilson. It immediately became a popular secular holiday celebrated nationwide.

Jarvis was ultimately disgusted by the commercialization of Mother’s Day, especially the sending of greeting cards. “A printed card means nothing except that you are too lazy to write to the woman who has done more for you than anyone in the world!” she reportedly complained.

The correct spelling of the holiday is “Mother’s Day,” not “Mothers Day.” It is a day that belongs to just one mother – yours.

The National Restaurant Association reports that Mother’s Day is the year’s most popular day for dining out. (And not doing dishes!)

It is also widely reported that more long-distance phone calls are made on Mother’s Day than on any other day of the year.

Mother’s Day accounts for approximately 8.0% of the American jewelry industry’s annual revenues.

Business research company IBISWorld reports that, this Mother’s Day, Americans will spend approximately $2.6 billion on flowers and $68 million on greeting cards.

Motherhood is actually less popular than in years past. In 1976, 90% of women between the ages of 40 and 44 were mothers. Today, that number has dropped to 82 percent. (Source; U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.)

Don’t forget your mother this Mother’s Day. And if you are a mother – have a great day. Remember, it’s yours!

akhir kata... selamat hari ibu... hari hari adalah hari ibu..so be nice to your mother be it you are a big men or women small or little person.. no need to wait for mother's day to be kind and nice to your own mother!

didikan

::Cooking carrots whole before chopping them up boosts their anti-cancer properties by 25 per cent, researchers say.::

Leaving the vegetable intact prevents valuable nutrients from being easily washed away into the water, claim scientists.

As an added bonus, boiling unchopped carrots also makes them taste better, they said.

They can then be chopped up once cooked without loss of nutrients.

Carrots have long been prized for their health benefits, especially their vitamin and fibre content. They contain huge amounts of carotenoids which are converted into vitamin A in the body.

They are also an excellent source of the anti-cancer compound falcarinol.

In a previous study, Dr Kirsten Brandt found rats fed on a diet containing carrots or isolated falcarinol were a third less likely to develop full-scale tumours than those which were not.

Now, Dr Brandt and researcher Ahlam Rashed, from Newcastle's school of agriculture, food and rural development, have gone further.

They found that carrots boiled before they were cut contained 25 per cent more falcarinol than those that were chopped up first.

Cut carrots have a higher surface area in contact with the water, resulting in greater loss of nutrients compared with boiling them whole.

The heat softens the cell walls in the vegetable, allowing vitamins and falcarinol to leach out.

Dr Brandt said: 'The great thing about this is it's a simple way for people to increase their uptake of a compound we know is good for you. All you need is a bigger saucepan.'

Naturally occurring sugars responsible for giving the carrot its distinctively sweet flavour were also found in higher concentrations in carrots that had been cooked whole - meaning the vegetable tastes better.

The team also carried out a taste test on almost 100 volunteers comparing carrots boiled before being cut and some that were cut up first.

More than 80 per cent said that carrots cooked whole tasted much better.

Independent nutritionist Dr Carrie Ruxton said 'This is good news as boiling them whole appears to help them keep more of the nutrients.

'This could apply to other vegetables, such as parsnips which are from the same family and have a roughly similar size and texture.'

Whether to peel the vegetables is largely a matter of personal taste, she said.

'It's a good idea to scrub potatoes rather than peel them because all the vitamin C is under the skin, but with vegetables that contain more uniformly distributed nutrients it shouldn't be that important.'

However, she added that probably the best way to eat carrots is raw.::

Buat salad aja..  tak payah masak masak karot, nanti hilang vitamin macam makan hampas aja, zat semua dah larut didalam air rebusan.  Tapi jangan lupa basuh bersih  sebelum makan..
